Alumnae Gymnasium
The newly renovated Alumnae Gymnasium is an extension of the Neilson Library, housing additional staff, technology, spaces and services. The building will provide a dynamic environment in which students, faculty and visiting scholars can work individually and collaboratively, sharpen their skills in digital media labs and employ the latest technology to preserve and create digital exhibits of their work.

Hours & Access
Alumnae Gymnasium is open 24 hours per day to the Smith Community with swipe access.
Alumnae Gym Spaces & Technology
- Connector Tunnel to Neilson Library Alumnae Gym - Lower Level
- Knowledge Lab - AG202. This space serves as a workshop space for courses working with the Learning, Research and Technology (LRT) team and other Libraries and ITS staff. Faculty who are interested in having a member of LRT work with their course may submit a request on the ITS Digital Support site. The Knowledge Lab contains dual screen workstations with video and audio production software, digital displays on all walls and an instructor podium. A cart of laptops equipped with GIS software is available for use by ITS and Libraries staff or course instructors to teach spatial data methods and for creation of digital maps. This space is open for study and media production work when not otherwise in use.
