Alumnae Gymnasium
The Alumnae Gymnasium is an extension of Neilson Library, housing additional staff, technology, study spaces and services. The building provides a dynamic environment in which students and faculty can work individually and collaboratively, sharpen their skills in digital media labs and employ the latest technology to preserve and create digital exhibits of their work.
The Smith Office for the Arts (SOFA) is located on the third floor of Alumnae Gymnasium.

Alumnae Gymnasium is open 24 hours per day to the Smith Community with swipe access.

Alumnae Gym Spaces & Technology
- Connector Tunnel to Neilson Library Alumnae Gym - Lower Level
- Knowledge Lab - AG202. This space serves as a workshop space for courses working with the Learning, Research and Technology (LRT) team and other Libraries and ITS staff. Faculty who are interested in having a member of LRT work with their course may visit Request Help and fill out the Course Support form. The Knowledge Lab contains dual screen workstations with video and audio production software, digital displays on all walls and an instructor podium. A cart of laptops equipped with GIS software is available for use by ITS and Libraries staff or course instructors to teach spatial data methods and for creation of digital maps. This space is open for study and media production work when not otherwise in use.
