Media Production Spaces
Campus Libraries are open to Smith students, faculty and staff who are in the campus COVID-19 screening program. Emeriti faculty, Five College students who are registered for a Smith course, and Smith research affiliates are also welcomed. Please note that an active OneCard is required for access to either swipe in or to show upon entry. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about obtaining or activating a OneCard. Masks continue to be required in all indoor shared spaces.
Neilson Library and Alumnae Gymnasium both provide unique technology, software, equipment and spaces for media production. Anyone needing guidance can find resources on this page, from tutorials to meeting with a staff member.

Educational Media Producers provide comprehensive support and expertise in the areas of digital media production. Students, faculty and staff can request consultations to get help with digital media software or hardware, course media project support, or general guidance and information in various areas of digital media production including:

Educational Media Producers collaborate with Faculty in the development, implementation and support of curricular digital media projects. These projects are developed to meet faculty members’ specific learning goals and enable students to experience and develop critical digital competencies. Projects can range in scope from simple low stakes presentation exercises, to long-term, content-rich, public-facing products with professional results. Media producers collaborate with faculty to determine appropriate hardware and software, develop achievable project timelines, and deliver robust project-focused technology workshops while also providing support to students throughout the project process.
