Statistical and Data Science Professor, Shiya Cao

How information flows, or doesn’t, is not only fascinating, but vital to promoting a flourishing environment of any type. Our information systems affect us all, but the effect is not always equal. So conducting a study on information systems impact in the management of accommodations in the workplace is illuminating on both a granular and big picture level—librarians do love an information system!

For this month’s What Am I Reading in ScholarWorks, Statistical and Data Science Professor, Shiya Cao’s research paper, “Examining Information Systems Use to Facilitate the Workplace Accommodation Process” sheds light on how accommodation processes are managed and how information systems can improve understanding of disability and processes, thereby improving accommodation experiences. Enjoy!
