Wednesday, August 27
Get to Know the Libraries
1-1:30 p.m.
Zoom
Meet your first-year librarian and learn all that the libraries at Smith College have to offer you! In this session, you will be introduced to the different library spaces on campus, what resources are available to you, and how the library can support you during your time at Smith. From reservable study spaces, recording studios, contemporary fiction, and so much more, the libraries have you covered!
Tuesday, September 2
Zine Workshop with Smith College Libraries
6-7:30 p.m.
Davis Ballroom
Join First-Years’ Engagement and Humanities Librarian Xochitl Quiroz and Visual Arts and Humanities Librarian Anna Helgeson for a fun and low-key zine workshop! Learn what a zine is, where to find zines in the libraries, and how to make your own. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own pictures and material to make your zine even more personal.
Thursday, September 11
Library Crawl
3-6 p.m.
Various Locations
Visit each of the different library spaces at Smith on Thursday, September 11th, from 3-6pm. On the Library Crawl, receive stamps from each library space for a prize and explore all that the libraries have to offer you! Each stop will have different activities, from an open-mic and bookmark making, to a sneak peek to our new Zine Collections and a chance to explore Special Collections.
