Crow Santiago

Crow Santiago ‘26

Tell us your Smith College Libraries Story.

When I was younger, I imagined myself in college working in a library, but when I got to Smith, I found a job off campus. When that business closed down, I applied to work in Neilson and I've worked there ever since! I've really enjoyed my time working here and getting to know the staff and other students, especially when working longer shifts during breaks and reunion! While I don't necessarily plan to continue working in a library, I am definitely open to the possibility!

Outside of the Libraries, what are your interests and hobbies?

I'm really involved in my house community (Hubb Love!), and I'm a huge gamer! I also work in Dr. Burson's psychology lab on campus.

What is next for you after graduating from Smith?

Hopefully working in a psychology lab researching mental health in queer adolescents for a year or two and applying for Clinical/Community Psychology PhD programs.

If you could impart one piece of advice to incoming first year students, what would it be?

Don't be afraid to try new things and explore; you could find new interests you didn't even know existed!
