Tell us your Smith College Libraries Story.
I applied to work at Special Collections because I love working with the archival materials in my classes. During the past year, I have enjoyed getting to work directly with important pieces of history. l have loved untangling the stories contained within the collections and learning how to preserve and organize them for future researchers. It has also been a lot of fun working with the different archivists and student assistants on all the different projects.
Outside of the Libraries, what are your interests and hobbies?
I am the station manager of WOZQ, the student radio station. I also work at a local preschool and love to hang out with cats.
If you could impart one piece of advice to incoming first year students, what would it be?
Try everything! You will probably regret not trying out classes, clubs, or experiences that are outside of your comfort zone. At the very least, you might get a funny story out of it.
