Tell us your Smith College Libraries Story.
My friend started working at the Libraries before me and encouraged me to apply! Since then, I have gotten to work with a couple of my friends. The Central Service Point Staff are always welcoming and friendly, making this job a highlight of my Smith Journey. My experience in the library improved my research, problem-solving, and client service skills.
Outside of the Libraries, what are your interests and hobbies?
I enjoy field hockey, knitting, and training for a half-marathon in September.
If you could impart one piece of advice to incoming first year students, what would it be?
Find a spot on campus that you can dedicate to your homework and studying time. Mine was Neilson’s third-floor computers in the quiet space. The rest of campus becomes your haven from schoolwork, a place to socialize and enjoy college life. Work hard, but don't forget to have fun with friends and find hobbies you enjoy outside of school. This is the time to explore as much as possible.
