Tell us your Smith College Libraries Story.

I applied to work in both Neilson and Hillyer because my aunt's advice when I started college was to get a job in the library. I got an interview at Hillyer and I've been there since. Working at Hillyer has been great because I've gotten to see so many books that I would never have picked out myself. Sometimes when I'm reshelving, a book's title or cover piques my interest and I take a flip through, especially when it's related to France or maps.

Outside of the Libraries, what are your interests and hobbies?

I've been a ballet dancer my whole life, languages (French, German, and Latin), and plants ( I worked in a phyllotaxy lab).

What is next for you after graduating from Smith?

I'm doing an economics pre-doc at Georgetown University for a year.

If you could impart one piece of advice to incoming first year students, what would it be?

Apply for a job at one of the libraries!
