Molly Gringas

Tell us your Smith College Libraries story.

Before I began working at Neilson, the library seemed like the ideal student job; it's (relatively) quiet and there's spare time to do homework. After I began my role, I realized that the benefits go beyond that — the library staff is extremely supportive and a joy to be around. It was also a good opportunity to gain customer service experience in a higher education setting. Having this experience under my belt has been very helpful as I begin my post-grad career working in higher education.

Outside of the Libraries, what are your interests and hobbies?

I enjoy listening to comedy podcasts, reading nonfiction/watching documentaries, FaceTiming my family nearly every day since I moved away from them (hi Mom!)

If you know, what is next for you after graduating from Smith?

I will be starting my new job in the Office of the President at Emerson College this April!

If you could impart one piece of advice to incoming first year students, what would it be?

The connections you will make at Smith (and after Smith) matter more than any paper you will write or any test you will take.
