Neilson Library Construction Update, November 5, 2018
New Neilson
Published November 5, 2018
There will be truck traffic through the John M. Greene Gate and the Neilson Library north construction entrance today, Monday, November 5. The main impact is on Hatfield Hall. Crews will be preparing grades on the east side of the 1909 Neilson building for the installation of staging to support the masonry cornice. This will allow continued work installing steel beam supports on the inside of that masonry wall. There was excavation work on Sunday between alumnae gymnasium and Bass Hall to explore for existing utilities in that area. Due to regular construction traffic during the week the contractor needed to do this on the weekend.
