Neilson Library Construction Update, June 7, 2018

This week, building demolition on the north end of the site will be completed. Concrete slabs on this end are being removed to make way for structural concrete mats for the new building. The removal will require loud hammering through Thursday afternoon, June 7. On Friday, the floor of the north excavation will be prepared for the placement of insulation and waterproofing.

For those who like a blow-by-blow, you can compare the above sketch from Shawmut with the live image from the Hatfield Hall Webcam, and track the progress on the yellow shaded areas that remain to be hammered out. The green portion was completed Tuesday.
