The Libraries recently commissioned local artist Aaron Wood to create a series of new artwork featuring four well-known spaces on campus: Neilson Library, Josten Performing Arts Library, Hillyer Art Library, and Alumnae Gymnasium.
For the design concept, Wood drew inspiration from the Works Progress Association (WPA) posters of the 1930s-40s. This iconic style lends itself to bold colors, clean lines, and a striking visual appearance.
The designs will be available to view on digital and print materials put out by the Libraries. Keep an eye out for bookmarks, stickers, and other items at upcoming Libraries events!
