Lily Lothrop '21 is an opera singer turned singer/songwriter. Her forthcoming EP, "This is What I Can Do," is a cheeky rebuke, and a reminder to herself of what she's capable of, even when facing internal and external doubt. Woven into her melodies are confessional lyrics of grappling with self doubt, uncovering repressed anger, and the restless desire for change. Born and raised in Western Mass, Lothrop graduated from Smith College in 2021 with a degree in music where she was an active member of Glee Club, Chamber Singers, and Groove A cappella, and first wrote songs for a class lead by Kate Soper.
