Nadya-Catherine Ismail will be performing a senior recital program of jazz, funk, and soul with Ajika Sawyer (bass), Amara Singer (keyboard), Elijah Nathman (drums), and Dani Justo (guitar), as well as guest appearances from many dear friends.
Nadya-Catherine Ismail is a music and mathematics double major at Smith. Next year, they will be going to Oxford to pursue a master's degree in mathematics.
They have been singing for as long as they have been able, and performing solo from the age of 10. At Smith they have been taking voice lessons with Kate Saik DeLugan, and have been singing with the Glee Club, Chamber Singers, and POCApella. You may have also seen them as Rapunzel's Prince in Into the Woods, music director for Paula Vogel's Indecent with STC, or as a singer and bandleader for Tiani Thorne's Rendezvous.
