Forbes Library is Northampton’s public library, right across the street from the campus bookstore at 20 West Street. At the open house you’ll be able to:
- Browse the library’s collection
- Sign up for a library card
- Get a vintage Forbes Library postcard
- Eat snacks
- Tour the special collections

Smith students are eligible to sign up for a library card with Northampton’s Forbes Library. It’s quick and easy to do! Get started at https://bit.ly/ForbesCard.
Card access allows students to use and borrow physical materials as well as digital items from the extensive Central/Western Massachusetts public library network, such as ebooks, eAudiobooks, databases, streaming video content, and more.
