"Beyond the Baby-sitters Club: The Other Books of Ann M. Martin"

Did you grow up reading the Baby-sitters Club books?

Did you know they were written by Smith alumna Ann Martin, class of 1977?

In May 2013, Ms. Martin donated her archive of literary papers to the Mortimer Rare Book Room, and Su Meck, AC class of 2014, worked last fall to organize the papers and create a detailed inventory list. She had become a devoted Ann Martin fan years ago when she read the books with her children. Working with the Ann M. Martin Papers was Su's senior capstone project for the Book Studies Concentration.

Now Su has selected a very small and tantalizing sample of those materials for exhibition, focusing on books by Ann Martin other than the Baby-sitters Club series.
