In her position, Miriam manages the Special Collections reading room, provides reference support to researchers in the reading room, directs the undergraduate student assistant program, and provides support for the Special Collections instruction program.

Miriam began her professional life in museums, working in a number of museums across the country before pivoting to work in Special Collections. Prior to joining Smith, she was the Instruction and Public Services Archivist at WVU and the Reference Archivist at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Outside of work, Miriam enjoys spending time with her dog, watching most Bravo shows, and cross stitching.
