As a circulation associate, Micah provides support for patrons at Josten Performing Arts Library; he communicates with faculty about course reserves and ensures that those materials are available for students. He also helps manage the library’s collections (including the handling of new acquisitions), prepares scores and recordings for cataloging, and assists in supervising and training student workers.
Outside his responsibilities with Smith College Libraries, Micah is active in community-based music-making. He participates in Sacred Harp singing and contra dance, composes for choir, plays violin/fiddle, and pursues his scholarly interest in ritual and liturgical music.
