Micah Walter

Micah maintains the software and web tools used by Smith College Libraries (including code that underlies the Libraries’ website), and develops new applications to improve access and discovery of library resources. Among these applications is the Smith Inventory System, which tracks over 800,000 items in off-site storage at the Five College Library Annex. Micah also collaborates with ITS and Five College staff, and develops and documents workflows.

When not working for the Libraries, Micah is active in community-based music and dance, and appreciates that Sacred Harp singing, contra dancing and change ringing all have a presence at Smith!
