As part of the Smith Libraries Learning, Research & Technology group, Jodi conducts course-related library instruction for the English department, First Year Seminars and provides instruction and assistance in the use of citation management software. She also coordinates library outreach efforts and participates in user experience activities related to reference, research and instruction services.
Before she became a librarian, Jodi was a singer-songwriter. She performed in venues and on street corners and subway platforms domestically and abroad. She has lived in various parts of the United States, including a 16-year stint in Brooklyn, NY where she earned her MLIS and began her career as a librarian at Brooklyn Public Library.
She is an avid bicycle commuter, meditator, cinephile and poetry lover.
