Harland arranges, describes, and makes accessible born digital and digitized collection materials stewarded across three unique repositories that comprise Special Collections -- College Archives, Mortimer Rare Book Collection, and the Sophia Smith Collection of Women's History. 

Over the course of his career Harland has worked with digital imaging, building interactive applications for museums, and helping organizations adopt digital technologies via sustainable workflows while adhering to best practices. 

Outside of work, Harland can be found managing the expectations of two family dogs, navigating Berkshire hiking trails, and working with historic photographic processes.
