In the capstone seminar for the Archives Concentration, ARX 340 Taking the Archives public, students built a digital version of their project, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Kelly Anderson, the professor who oversees the archives capstone projects, says that the students worked extremely hard on their digital projects despite the immense challenges that they faced with working on an archive project during a pandemic. Other library staff members who made this project possible are Travis Grandy, Interim Team Lead, Learning and Design; Mario Valdebenito Rodas, Instructional Technology Specialist; Esther Roth-Katz, Social Sciences and Student Research Initiatives Librarian; Nanci Young, College Archivist; Maureen Callahan, Sophia Smith Collection Archivist and Kate Long, Research Services Archivist.

Projects are on display through the websites that each student built for the next couple of months. Projects range in topic from “Queer Social Worlds at Smith" to the “History of Student Activism at Smith”. Please enjoy and visit the students’ projects that are linked below.
