We are excited to have Renee Pelletier come on board as the new Blackwell Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in Special Collections, where she will be working with the Sophia Smith Collection of Women's History.
Renee’s fellowship focuses on making records more accessible to Libraries visitors and provides structured mentoring opportunities in the theory and practice of special collections curatorial work. Her major project for the year will be to analyze the subject headings applied to records in the Sophia Smith Collection with particular attention toward anti-oppressive subject analysis - thinking through how librarians identify ideas, people, and events, and aligning that to how communities describe themselves.
Having recently graduated from Mt. Holyoke College, Renee hopes to continue working with history and archives in her future career.
Feel free to reach out to Renee at email@example.com.
