Rose coordinates the development of the Smith College Libraries general collections. New to this role, she is currently getting to know our collections and their users, so that she can craft strategic directions and guidelines for the future. In addition to acquiring new materials and assessing current ones, Rose leads the Collection Services group, which includes the Acquisitions, Cataloging, and Serials & Electronic Resources teams. Under her leadership, the Collection Services Group will continue to ensure our library materials are discoverable, usable, and well cared for.
Outside the library, Rose enjoys exploring the making process; currently through sewing, knitting, and baking, but she's been known to wield a power tool or paintbrush when the mood strikes. She can also be found pursuing outdoor adventures, from local festivals and fairs, to hiking and canoeing.
