As an Accessioning Archivist, Althea is responsible for executing, maintaining, and improving the business processes by which new collection materials enter Special Collections’ management. She manages the intake of all material into the Sophia Smith Collection, the Smith College Archives, and the Mortimer Rare Book Collection and works to make this material promptly available for research use.
Althea previously worked in New Orleans for Tulane University Special Collections. As a long time resident of the Gulf South, Althea is excited to ride her tandem bicycle on new terrain and learn more about the flora and fauna in New England.
