Allison manages the New Neilson Library redesign and renovation project for the libraries. She is responsible for coordinating all library activities related to the project, including wrangling key library and partner staff members' input into the design process -- from HVAC to technology to furniture. She has also overseen the buildout and space management for the eight temporary library spaces while Neilson is closed. Over the summer of 2020, Allison was reassigned to work on Smith’s COVID-19 Coordination Team. Returning to the Libraries in the fall, she will help plan and oversee the move back into Neilson Library, and the smooth reopening of the building.
Before joining Smith College, Allison spent 12 years as an independent project manager for sustainable building projects around Western Massachusetts. Prior to that, she created and ran economic development programs for the cities of Richmond and Berkeley, California. Off-duty Allison likes to garden, cook and manage Lego building projects with her two children.
