Abby manages all aspects of public services including circulation, reserves, stacks management, interlibrary loan, and coordinates in-person and virtual reference. She is responsible for service quality, assessment, communication and engagement, and innovation including the creative use of technology in support of public service operations.
Abby previously held positions as Systems & Discovery Librarian at the Harold F. Johnson Library of Hampshire College and before that as Coordinator of Digital Curriculum, Reserves & Media, and E-Reserves Assistant at the UMass Amherst Libraries. Through these positions she has discovered professional strengths and personal interests in library systems, public services, workflow optimization, and staff supervision. Outside of work, Abby enjoys kayaking the Connecticut river, hiking the Amherst trail systems with her partner and dog, and consuming all types of digital media.
